The construction of the Late Period's shaft tomb kept certain rules: its superstructure consists of a huge enclosure wall with a square plan, but the feature most typical is a limestone burial chamber built at the foot of a deep main shaft. This is connected with the surface by narrow vertical subsidiary shaft(s) and long horizontal passage(s) starting from the bottom; and the embalmer's deposit is situated to the SW-corner of the funeral complex.
The article try to find possible connection between location of embalming remnants of deceased and the groups of funerary texts, depicted on the southern wall of the burial chamber.
