Abstract
The study analyzes the phenomenon of violent victimization of children. The attention is paid both to the current situation as reflected in prevalence rates and features of individual incidents and to the development since 1999 and related changes.
In addition, a possibility of an international comparison is utilized. Apart from an analysis of violent victimization in general, a specific attention is given to violence in the family, including the use of physical punishment of children by parents.
