This study deals with the period 1890-1892, when František Bílek received a scholarship from Knight Vojtěch Lanna, who allowed him a period of study in Paris (France), based on his proven qualities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. The two-year stay ended with the withdrawal of the scholarship on the basis of handed-down classical works under the names of Golgotha and Orba with highly religious content and the forced return of Bilek to Bohemia.
