Case of morphine-induced ventricular fibrillation

Abstract

Presented case report demonstrates that on the contrary to the general opinion of the antiarrhythmic effect of morphine, its administration in the usual indication, STEMI complicated by cardiogenic pulmonary edema with hypertension can cause serious unexpected and unpredictable adverse effect, ventricular fibrillation.
