The intention of the study was to compare the development of somatic indicators of Czech children and adolescents aged 9-19 years in the period from 1966 - 1987 - 2006 - 2014/15. For this comparison, we used the measurement of Pávek (1977), Moravec et al. (1988), Rychtecký et al. (2006) and our own measurements of 2014/15.
The study of somatic development indicators yielded the following findings: The final height of men in the age of 18 years, increased by 4,1 cm during the past 50 years. The final height of the women in the age of 18 years, increased by 5,1 cm during the past 50 years.
Comparison of body weight between the years 1966-2014/15 indicate increasing the weight of both boys and girls. Increasing BMI values only correspond to increasing levels of body height and body weight.
Comparison of values 2014/15 to the year 1987, pointing to a greater or lesser increase the size of the sum of skinfolds at all ages in both sexes.
