Sulfones are regarded as drugs with ever increasing therapeutical potential in different entities in dermatology. Its possible indication covers a range of skin disorders and they are frequently underestimated.
This article deals with not purely clinical aspects of structure, pharmacology, mechanism of action and description of different antiinflammatory/antiprotozoal activities (section A) as well as with approved indications and side effects (Section B). Finally last section (section C) summarizes unapproved indications - both recommended and not recommended in dermatology.
Data included in section A could be helpful in our decision to use such drug for management of various distinct entities.
