Practical aspects of the infection by pinworms (enterobiosis)

Abstract

Enterobiosis is the most common intestinal helminthosis in the Czech Republic, especially in children. The article meant for pediatricians and practising physicians summarizes the knowledge about biology and transmission of the causative agent, epidemiology, pathology and symptomatology, methods of diagnostics, and possibilities of prophylaxis and treatment of the infections.
