This talk was about a core idea of my paper relating to the concept of personal data, because it is important for how we may reconcile trade in data and personality protection. The idea is that we need to distinguish strictly between personal data and personal information, because data and information are not the same thing and because we can only trade data, not information.
Personal data can be personal in two ways: either intrinsically or extrinsically, and that only extrinsically personal data can be subjected to ownership-like rights, and therefore traded. This talk also showed that the dichotomy between personal and non-personal data is false.
