Abstract

Families of children who violate rules of society in such a way that their conducts are included under the category of problems or behavioral disorders are in a very specific area. Parents deal with the situation in different ways with regard to both external and internal influences.

In order to understand the parents' experiences of these children, I consider it essential to understand the influence of the school and other institutions such as counseling and health care centers that enter into very intense contact with the family. In my contribution, I will focus on family and school relationships, with emphasis on how teachers and other school representatives enter the parents' experience and how the problem behavior of children influences the mutual communication of both socialization institutions.

Attention will also be paid to the input of consultants and health professionals throughout the process.
