Paintings at Liběchov Castle, already characteristic of the problematic technology used by the author, have been subjected to numerous restoration interventions during their existence, but which, in the long run, can not be regarded as too effective. Another important factor influencing the current state of the paintings was the floods that hit Liběchov in 2002.
The permanent degradation of the colored layer leads to irreversible losses. Frequent restoration work affects the overall character of the paintings.
In order to assess the prospects of further preservation of these conflicts of important works of art of the 19th century, the organized colloquium was to be organized.
