Kinematic Geometry: Constructions of Planar Curves

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2017

Abstract

This contribution addresses the applications of dynamic system GeoGebra in the teaching and learning of kinematic geometry, especially the constructions of planar curves and their special points. The advantage of dynamic software will be presented on the examples of the construction of centers of curvature, osculating circles, cusps, inflection points etc.

These constructions can be difficult when we draw these objects by hand, here GeoGebra software can be applied with potentially significant impact.
