Abstract
In this paper we plead for marking quantities in transcriptions of names of Greek mathematicians in Czech mathematical texts and in mathematical textbooks. These transcriptions differ from standard Czech usage, but we list some advantages of the transcription.
The main argument is correct pronunciation. We append list of many greek mathematicians with marked correct quantities including genitive for correct declination.
