Off-resonant magnetization dynamics in Co, Fe and Ni thin films driven by an intense single-cycle THz field

Abstract

We present time-resolved measurements exploring the THz-induced magnetization dynamics as function of the driving field strength in the ferromagnetic thin film samples Co, Fe and Ni. The experimental results are excellently reproduced by ab-initio calculations.
