The aim of the paper is to present the most important findings of the currently published OECD study "New Health Technologies: Managing Access, Value and Sustainability". Individual chapters of the study are presented; they describe the anticipated role of new and innovative technologies, their contribution to the healthcare system, challenges they pose in the area of regulation, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, personalized medicine, and the use of Big Data.
The overall impact of the study on the Czech Republic is briefly discussed.
