Lessons Learned from Teaching and Research in Classical Geometry and Computer Modeling

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2017

Abstract

Experiences gained from teaching indicates serious gap in student's understanding of geometry. We will show several examples where computer-aided education of geometry can mitigate these gaps in understanding.

The second part of the lecture will be more research oriented with focus on quadrilateral meshes. The algorithms for enumerating quadrilateral meshes and the main ideas how to measure the mesh quality will be presented.
