English translation counterparts of the Czech particles copak, jestlipak, kdepak

Abstract

The paper examines English translation counterparts of Czech sentences containing the particles copak, jestlipak and kdepak, which represent elements of the "third syntactical plan". It a) identifies and describes English means which perform the same communicative functions as Czech sentences containing the -pak particles; b) specifies the functions of the Czech particles.
