The problems linked with teaching of the Polish word order on the base of the Czech or Slovak

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2017

Abstract

The article presents a problem of teaching the Polish syntax to students whose first language is either the Czech or Slovak. Special attention is paid to the syntactic parts of some Polish utterances that are linearly linked.

They seem to be different from the Czech or the Slovak word order and therefore they cause highly appearing interference. The author points out that such interference can occur at every stage of learning a foreign language and she advises the correct word order should be revised at every opportunity.
