This paper presents examples of lightning characteristics associated with transient luminous events (TLE), which occurred over Central Europe from 2013 to 2015. Lightning waveforms along with images of accompanying TLEs (sprites and halos) are presented.
These discharges were registered by a horizontal magnetic antenna in Nový Kostel near Cheb in the Czech Republic. Their peak-to-peak amplitudes vary from several pT to roughly 460 pT.
Two cases are also compared with magnetic-eld data from Poland.
