The aim of this paper was focus on formulation of anti-Soviet views of the Banderivets and their sympathizers and attempt to answer - with the aid of Ukrainian historical sources - to the question how the personal narratives and official documents differed and/or coincided in painting so harsh anti-Soviet attitudes. With help of Western Ukrainian archival materials I comparatively demonstrated, on examples, differences and/or similarities of anti-Soviet attitudes in personal narrations (letters, memoirs etc.) and official documents (statements, propagandist materials etc.), and conceptualized in which sense those genres could contribute to understanding this topic.
