Abstract

the paper presented in a conference on late Iron age chronology discussed utility of Roman written sources and of Roman object imported in central Europe for chronological consideration. written sources are often misleading rather than helpful while the chronology of the imported objects is hardly ever fine enough to be helfull for extablishing more precise chronology than can be achieved with local transalpine artefacts.
