2015 ESC Guidelines for the management of infective endocarditis. Summary document prepared by the Czech Society of Cardiology

Abstrakt

Infective endocarditis (IE) remains associated with high mortality and severe complications. The publication of new large series of IE, improvements in imaging procedures, particularly nuclear imaging and the need for a collaborative approach-namely the 'Endocarditis Team' - justify the decision of the ESC to update the previous guidelines.
