Abstract
Pain is the common phenomenon which takes part in the diseases. Acute pain is very important diagnostic symptom.
Chronic pain represents the disease sui generis, sui generis with the prevalence around 30% of the population. Unfortunately it has the increasing tendency.
The algesiology is the independent discipline in the system of postgraduate study. It is approved with the attestation after the practical training and examination.
In the Czech Republic there are more than 100 medical doctors attested in algesiology. But very important is the teaching on the pain and algesiology already in the pregraduate (magistrate) medical study.
Therefore we are presenting the survey about the teaching on pain and algesiology in all 8 Faculties of Medicine in the Czech Republic.
