Successful adalimumab treatment of severe forms of hidradenitis suppurativa

Abstract

Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic skin disease, which is manifested by the formation of inflammatory nodules, secreting fistulas, abscesses in areas with large sweat glands and consequently the formation of scars or fibrotic lanes. Disease significantly reduces patients and reduces the quality of life of affected patients.

Recently, efficacy has been demonstrated in biological drugs, of which adalimumab has been approved for the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa. We report the patient's case with a severe hidradenitis suppurativa treated successfully with adalimumab.
