Abstract
The article maps the situation of media education in the Czech Republic, deals with individual authors engaged in media education and their books and papers, it points out some projects devoted to media education. As a part of the article we can find final outcomes of a survey carried out among teachers which summarizes how the teachers perceive media education and how they teach it.
The conclusion points out the possibilities and facts which media education should be dealing with in future. The article is a primary insight into the issue, the authors are working on more comprehensive elaboration of problems in given area.
