This paper deals with employee's privacy rights. Both respective Czech regulations and supervising public agencies are under profound influence of the article 8 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the European Court of Human Rights' case law.
Although article 8 of the European Convention covers not only labour law issues, in the labour law, it has fundamentally improved working conditions in last few decades. Revising the European Court of Human Rights' case law, we can even speak about the humanization of working life.
