Abstract
Influenza is underestimated in the Czech Republic not only by the laity but also by the medical public, although there is sufficient data and regular information on both the incidence of the disease and the risk of complications and deaths. In the Czech Republic, influenza vaccination, despite all the education, is not very popular and its significance is questioned not only by the lay but also by the professional public.
