The greatest advances are undoubtedly in the field of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, new treatment options and diagnostics opens up a number of questions that we can not yet provide satisfactory answers.
When to stop treatment? When do the risks of therapy outweigh its benefits? What to consider as the main therapeutic goal? How long to wait for a change in therapy? These and many other questions have been the subject of a lively discussion at this year's 4th International Symposium on IBD in Children. But for all the answers we will have to wait for some time.
