Mindfulness used to be associated mainly with so-called third wave of cognitive-behavioral therapies. Hundreds of humanistically-, psychodynamically- or integratively-oriented therapists, however, also integrated experiences gained through mindfulness meditation and through the study of Buddhist psychology into the practice in past decades.
This presentation will shortly introduce several authors and approaches from this field and also will highlight the newest trends in mindfulness research. It will further consider how the study of mindfulness could contribute to the tintegration of humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches in the future.
