The bachelor thesis describes, from the point of view of anesthetist nurse, the issue of nursing care undergoing the planned operation of stenosis of carotid artery internal carotid. Early diagnosis and safe treatment is a way for the patient to prevent the complications of this disease causes.
Every surgery and anesthesia brings with it risks too. The theoretical part focuses on the current state of the cerebral vascular disease.
Further on etiology, prevention and treatment of stenosis. I focus mainly on surgical treatment - endarterectomy.
I mention the possible techniques of surgery, but above all I focus on the methods of anesthesia that can be used in performance. The aim of this work is to focus on complex nursing care for the patient during the perioperative period, which also helps to minimize the risks associated with the treatment.
The methodology is elaborated in the form of casuistic work in the theoretical framework of perioperative care with this issue. The result is the observance of specialized nursing care during the perioperative period, focusing on patient safety and risk reduction during anesthesia.
At the same time, it provides specific nursing practices. The benefit of the work is the educational leaflet for nurses in the adaptation process.
