Abstract
The humoral immunodeficiencies belong to the most frequent impairment of the immune system manifesting as recurrent respiratory tract infections. Apart from infectious complications, non-infectious manifestations affecting respiratory tract such as autoimmune, lymphoproliferative or granulomatous disorders may occur as well.
An example of primary immunodeficiency with immune system dysregulation is common variable immunodeficiency. They may be connected with obstructive or restrictive ventilatory disorders.
The early diagnosis and the appropriate treatment are crucial for patient's prognosis. This approach requires the key collaboration of pneumologist and immunologist.
