Bilateral Patellar Tendon Tears After a Fall From Standing Position: Do You Mind Systemic Diseases and Medications?

Abstract

We read with great interest the article by Tsur et al.1 entitled "Bilateral patellar tendon tears after a fall from standing position." The article describes a case of bilateral patellar tendon rupture after a minor trauma verified by performing magnetic resonance imaging. However, we miss the information about the medical history of the patient because bilateral quadriceps tendon ruptures are highly correlated with systemic disease.
