Education as a human relationship to the whole of the world : The Philosophy of Education of Jan Patočka

Abstract

The chapter is devoted to the holistic character of Patočka's philosophy of education. Education is conceived here as the relationship of man to the whole of the world (care of the cosmos and the logos), as a relation to the human community (care of the polis) and as a relation to one another (care of the soul).
