Abstract
This contribution is focused on the form of historical anthropology in the Czech environment. Historical anthropology gained importance from the 80s of the 20th century.
It brought new concepts, methods and themes to the history, it brought also focus on the common man, who was neglected by historians. Historical anthropology has been applied in the Czech environment, mainly in the younger generation of historians, who have sought the way from ideologically oriented economic and social history.
