The article provides an overview of the newly adopted IFLA LRM (Library Reference Model) standard, which fully replaces the FRBR (Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records), FRAD (Functional Requirements for Authorized Data), and FRSAD (Functional Requirements on Subjects) conceptual models. The entities of the model, and the most important attributes and relationships are characterized.
Information on ongoing revisions and updates of existing FRBR models and documents (RDA, International Cataloguing Principles, ISBD, FRBRoo) is provided.
