Abstract
Primary diagnostics of pigmented moles is together with carefull sunscreen usage still the only effective method for malignant melanoma prevention. Even early stages of the disease are subject for long disease free survival.
On the other hand, advanced stages together with metastatic ones represents an overall suvival not more than some months. Only recently, two targeted therapeutical options (vemurafenib and ipilimumab) are able to prolong significantly the overall survival.
