From Lenin to Stalin: Historiography between Edward H. Carr and revisionists

Abstract

Paper focuses on changes and transformations of the study of Russian and Soviet history in Western historiography from late 60s and especially so called "revisionism". Main subject of the paper is the history research relating to the events of October 1917 in Petrograd.

Revisionist inquiry into the revolution of 1917 is illustrated on work of American historian with Russian origins Alexander Rabinowitch.
