The article describes the current state of research on the history of political economy and the Czechoslovak economists in the socialist era. It gives an account of the main contributions on this topic since the early 1990's both of Czech and foreign origin.
It analyses the works by Johanna Bockman, Jiří Suk and Gil Eyal more in detail and it also mentions the newest research project focused on this issue. The conclusion gives an account of the accessible archival sources which could be used for further research.
