This presentation focuses on the history in film, more precisely the history in the Czech film after 1989. This year is a crucial milestone for a number of East and Central European countries, as the fall of Communist domination allows us to create a new era of artwork that is already in a certain sense free and offers a new view of creating a historical image.
How is this image shaped within the Czech cultural environment? Which factors are affected? What does the Czech historical film offer today? These and other questions I try to answer in my presentation.
