Psoriasis is one of the most common dermatological diseases, affecting 2-3% of the population in Central Europe. Treatment options are either topical or systemic, often in combination.
Conventional systemic therapies include phototherapy (UVB, PUVA - psoralen + UVA), methotrexate, cyclosporine and acitretin. The most novel group of drugs are so called biologics.
Here, we present two cases of severe psoriasis that were successfully treated with biological therapy, after previous failure of conventional systemic treatment.
