The article uses examples of murals from the miller Michalovic's house in Prague to demonstrate how the representatives of the haute bourgeoisie spent their time as for them, the painted space served as an impulse to discuss theater, music, trip destinations or the host's personal interests. The interpretation of Josef Navratil's murals from 1847 will therefore be based not only on the artistic aspects of the time, but also on the social and cultural ones.
