100 Years of Independent State: Czech Language and Culture Far from its Borders

Abstract

In 2018 we commemorate important years of the 20th century connected with several waves of political migration from the Czech Lands (1938, 1948, 1968), but also reemigration to the newly born Czechoslovakia (1918). How were they connected with maintenance of Czech language and culture in Chicago diaspora?
