The article concerns the issue of myth and mythologization in contemporary Russian literature. The focus of the article is on the concept of an "author's myth".
Considerable attention is paid to the issues of history and duality and their influence on the author's myth. The analysis of three modern novels illustrates the characteristic features of this literary form.
