The social work profession is an important tool for the management of processes at the level of microprax in the area of support and assistance to persons in an unfavorable social situation, at the level of mezzoprax in the field of coordination, methodical management and management and at the level of macroprax in the area of creating conditions for social work performance. The aim of the chapter is to present a brief overview of the basic values and principles of this profession, to discuss the outlook on influencing the conditions for social work at the macro level, and last but not least to present the results of the analysis of data from the field of social work in public administration and in social services and other organizations - the qualification profiles of current social workers, the number of social workers' clients and the conditions for performing social work.
The central focus is therefore on exploiting the potential of social work that this profession carries - these are the social workers who protect the human dignity and the rights of the clients, thus contributing to the fulfillment of the goals of these social processes.
