In 1917 was established the first socialist régime, which was able to hold a stable position on the political map of Europe. Global aspirations of the leaders, who called for the destruction of capitalism and parliamentary democracy and the first results of communists social experiment had the direct influence on the process of division in European social democratic movement.
The aim of this contribution is the reconstruction of the way how information about reality in Soviet Russia transformed the horizon of mentality members of the left group in a Czech social democracy. The projection of the ardently desired future to the ideal world of Soviet régime determine the tendency of individuals and groups to follow communist ideology.
The specific meaning of terms like Soviet, world revolution or dictatorship of the proletariat, which this term gets in the environment of the Czechoslovak radical left, shaped the process which culminated on the institutional level in the foundation of the communist party of Czechoslovakia
