The stronghold near Prague: The early medieval hillfort in Prague-Kralovice

Abstract

The stronghold in Prague-Královice was located approximately 17 km to the southeast of Prague Castle. In 2010, the Institute of Archaeology at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University launched a comprehensive study of the stronghold with the aim of learning about the forms, transformation and functions of the site using systematic surface collections, geophysical survey, geological drilling and excavations.
