Abstract
The article tells about the Split in Russian Orthodox Church and its influence to development of orthodox faith and traditions in orthodox communities. It presents opinions of orthodox religionists and historians about the Split phenomenon.
It tells about the studies of docents Glinichkova and Muravyov, where they compare Luther and Avvakum. Author of this article evaluate the lifestyle of orthodox old believers from the Split until our days.
