Abstract
In the Czech Republic nowadays we can observe practical application of supervision in the areas of psychotherapy, counseling, social works, education and in certain extent also in public health service. Therefore, this report outlines the discursive specification of the content of the term "supervision", its meanings and definitions for various contexts.
In the report's conclusion we focus on the similar characteristics of all definitions that are common for various contexts in which the phenomenon of supervision has been used.
