Abstrakt
The determination of additional venom components improves the overall sensitivity of CRD testing for heneybee venom allergy. However, the clinical signifikance of these components is considerably varying for different immunoassays; and even a complete panel of five components missed almost 10% of established heneybee venom allergic patients.
These findings imply that at this time whole venom testing whether by skin test or serology is preferred to component testing.
