Teaching How to Read in a Foreign Language: How to Transform Interest into Motivation?

Abstract

The author of the publication addresses the problem of forming reading skills in foreign languages as a motif for supporting interest in the studied foreign language. She points out modern requirements and criteria for selection of reading texts in classes for studying foreign languages and Russian as a foreign language in particular.
