Abstract
The contribution summarizes and substantially extends existing research of the autor. Analysis of rich curricular and educational materials formerly relied upon by the Czech literature education, shows that a deepening sense of national perception was guaranteed not only by continued contribution of Czech school reading-book authors, but also the contents, inclusion of Czech canonical works and the development of methods from a lively academic debate.
